Water Heater-maker, seller to compensate buyer

CHENNAI: Khaitan Electricals and Rathna Fan House at T Nagar were directed by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, South Chennai, to pay a compensation of `10,000, besides the cost of `5,000, to a consumer for supplying a defective water heater. The amount must be paid to K Sakthikanesan of Velachery within six weeks, the  Forum comprising V Gopal, president,and L Deenadayalan, said while passing orders on the complaint from the consumer.
