As per the Local18 report, Sayalkudi Mookaiyur Beach is a coastal region situated around the districts of Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi. Closer to Ramanathapuram, it takes around an hour from Aruppukkottai to get to the beach. From Virudhunagar, it can take around one and a half hours.
The best part about this beach is that it is fairly unknown, hence less crowded. Local18 reports that this beach is usually visited by the locals living near the place. They can be found taking a bath in the sea occasionally. So, because of limited visits, it is a very clean beach, unlike other tourist spots.
Sayalkudi Mookaiyur Beach can be visited anytime for free. Bus transportation facilities are available from Aruppukottai and Virudhunagar to the beach. However, going with your vehicle is preferred as it can be easier to explore the area. Since this beach is not a popular destination, places for food and drinks are located way farther.
These places can be visited at Sayalgudi town situated at a distance of a few kilometres from the beach. It is a very budget-friendly place, ideal to visit with your friends or family.
