TIRUPATI: A 35-year-old woman was found murdered and her body was stuffed in a TV packing box, at Sivajyothi Nagar area here on Monday.According to police, the victim identified as Sunita, was married to one Madhu from Kalvagunta village of Srikalahasthi mandal.However, due to differences, Sunita and her husband were living separately from some time.Sunita allegedly had an affair with her father-in-law Mudhukrishna.The duo came to Tirupati two months ago and were residing in a rented house at Sivajyothy Nagar. On Monday, locals sensed foul smell emanating from their house. Suspecting something wrong, they alerted the police who rushed to the spot immediately.Police who broke open the door found blotches of blood at many places in the house. They zeroed in on a box used for packing television.When they opened it, they found the body stuffed into it.Police suspect the woman’s father-in-law for the crime and the possible involvement of her husband is also not ruled out.The victim might have been murdered two or three days ago, according to the police. A case has been registered.
