KHAMMAM: A woman lost her right leg after being allegedly pushed out by a travelling ticket examiner of East Coast Express here on Sunday.According to information, Gangamma (40) from a village in Amaravati mandal in Guntur district, along with 13 relatives, went to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district.While returning they boarded the East Coast Express at Bhongir on Sunday to reach Vijayawada. As the unreserved coach was overcrowded, the group of passengers get into a reserved coach. The TTE on the train asked all of them to get off the coach as they did not have reserved tickets. Relatives of Gangamma alleged that the TTE pushed the woman out while the train was moving and, as a result, her right leg was caught in the gap between the train and the platform.Police, however, denied the charge that Gangamma had been pushed out of the train and said she slipped while hurriedly getting into another coach while the train was moving. They did not register any case on the ground that it was an accident.
