A day after members of a Men Protection Group protested in front of actress Sona's residence for her reported comments against men, women organisations and South Indian Film Artistes Association have come for her support.
Says Sona, "I am happy that Nadigar Sangam and women welfare organisations have offered their support to me. The protest against me was unnecessary since I had already clarified that I never said anything against men."
She adds: "The interview was a fabricated one and my quotes were imaginary. I have lodged a police complaint against the publication, besides sending a legal notice."
Over 50 persons were arrested on Monday for staging a protest in front of Sona's residence at Teyanmapet in Chennai, for her reported remarks against men.
Led by advocate Arulthumilan, the agitators raised slogans against Sona and demanded an apology from her.
