THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Centre for Development of Music Studies (CDMS) is arranging a workshop for music enthusiasts and teachers. The programme, ‘Young Performer Concert’, is an initiative taken by CDMS to provide a platform for young and upcoming musicians.CDMS is bringing in a young musician, Alexander Hill from the UK, who has travelled around the world for music performances and workshops, for this programme. Alexander will be conducting classes on classical piano and jazz piano. The classes are scheduled from July 14 to 30 at CDMS campus near Kuravankonam Junction.  Alexander has performed at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican & St Johns and Smith Square.He had travelled to Bosnia, Serbia, Brittany, Venice, Nice, Paris, Stockholm (Sweden), Venezuela, Prague, Hungary and Croatia for music performances and workshops.  He is a member of Symphony, Chamber and String Orchestras of Edinburgh and the leader of Edinburgh UniversityComposers’ Orchestra. He holds the position of pianist in the Edinburgh University Jazz Orchestra.  There will be talks, question and answer sessions and interaction with teachers and also some piano recitals.
