Kolkata: The Writers' Building in Kolkata has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.
The bomb disposal squad teams have been rushed to the spot.
Kolkata Police had received an anonymous mail this afternoon threatening to blow off the 200-year-old Writers' Building, which was the West Bengal secretariat and is now being renovated.
Security around the heritage building was beefed up immediately after the mail was received at the police headquarters at nearby Lalbazar and a search was conducted by Kolkata Police officers.
