After watching the film, I guess everyone will find lot many things to talk about - cinematography, editing, dialogues, Rehman's magic or the Aamir's Sue kar mere mann ko. And more so, when everyone next to you have seen the movie more than once. Thats the case with mine. Almost all my friends who are film buffs have seen it atleast twice and planning to watch it atleast once more. Like many, i also wonder what is so specail about Rang De Basanti ? Everyone has their own reasons.
Few days back on our channel the topic of discussion was if RDB represents the youth of the country ? I also posed the same question to many of my friends. Almost everyone agreed about the first half but about opinions were varied about the second half.
I wonder how many of us will react in the same manner like they did in the second half? Or those reactions are only filmy to have some goose bumps with popcorn and cola by your side. But as one of my intelluctual friend said - You cant say if you will react in teh same manner or not. But its teh situations that makes you a hero. Its just a moment of few seconds....when you take that decision to change your life's normal course.
But why cant we all change a bit of something in our life ? I belive simply because we are taught to be part of bread-butter-jam rat race. Everyone around us wants us to lead a normal life. Thats why, in school we are asked to write eassys on aim of your life and the options are doctor, engineer,IAS or armed forces.
So are we hypocrite ? Yes may be many like me. One of my freind posted a comment on my blog saying i hav used a pic of Che Guevara for my blog but my posts got nothing to doi with it. We all like idealists, simple guys who became hero or still waiting to be recognised but we dont dare. Some days back, i was reading about Medha Patekar...she passed out from TISS and though her friends joined teh big NGO's first published:February 14, 2006, 22:13 ISTlast updated:February 14, 2006, 22:13 IST

Finally I have also decided to join the bandwagon. A little late, I know. But when we still argue if Sholay is overrated or not whenever we have time, then I guess its not too late to talk about the film that everyone seems to raving about - what else but Rang De Basanti.
