1. Yellow flower: On the day of Saraswati Puja, a yellow flower must be offered to Goddess Saraswati. It is believed that the yellow flower pleases the goddess, and she blesses students with knowledge.
2. Yellow clothes: On the day of Basanth Panchami, goddess Saraswati should be offered a piece of yellow cloth, and one should also wear yellow while performing the rituals.
3. Yellow Bhog: On the day of Saraswati Puja, yellow-coloured food is said to be offered to the goddess, like yellow saffron mixed with gram flour, laddus, boondi or kheer.
4. Reading Material: On the day of Saraswati Puja, one should offer reading material to Mother Saraswati. This brings positive changes to the lives of the students, and the blessings of the goddess Saraswati always remain in their lives.
5. Yellow Sandalwood: On the day of Basant Panchami, one should apply yellow sandalwood while worshipping to please goddess Saraswati.
