Actor Bibin George's Malayalam Movie Koodal Goes On Floors

Malayalam actor Bibin George’s next film Koodal directed by Shaanu Kakkoor (Shanu Chelakkara) and Shafi Eppikkad has gone on floors. As per reports, this film’s shooting has commenced in Palakkad, Kerala and Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Besides these places, the film will also be shot in Mannarkkad, Attappadi and Malayattoor, Kerala.

Reportedly, this is the first Malayalam film set against the backdrop of camping, and will resonate with the youth. Apart from the youth, the makers said that Koodal will appeal to all sections of the audience. In addition to the film’s interesting premise, Koodal comprises five songs as a part of its soundtrack, which has generated further anticipation amongst the audience.

Jithin KV has produced Koodal under the banner of P&J Productions. Four actresses will play the female leads in the film, ie- Mareena Michael Kurisingal, Riya, Niya Varghese, and Anu Sonara, the sister of Anu Sithara. Prominent Tamil director Karthik Subbaraj’s father Gajraj is also playing a lead role in the film.

Apart from these actors, many other prominent celebrities will play significant roles in this film. They include Vijilesh Karayad, Vineeth Thattil, Vijayakrishnan, Kevin, Rafi Chakkapajam, Akhil Shah, Sam Jeevan and Ali Arangadath. Lali Marakkar, Sneha Vijayan, Archana Ranjith and Dasettan Kozhikode (Shanmughadas J) will also portray significant roles in this film.

Apart from directing, Shafi Eppikkad has also penned Koodal’s story, screenplay and dialogues. Shajeer Pappa is in charge of the film’s cinematography. Sibu Sukumaran, Manikandan Perumpadappu, Albin S Joseph, Nikhil Anil Kumar, and Prasad Chembrasseri scored the film’s music. Shibu Pularkazhcha, Indulekha Warrier, M Krisnankutty, Shafi, and Nikhil Anil Kumar penned the lyrics of Koodal songs. Vineeth Sreenivasan, Yazin Nizar, Manikandan Perumpadappu, Indulekha Warrier, and Afsal Eppikkad have sung the tracks.

The title launch and pooja ceremony of P&J Productions production Koodal was held at Kaloor Hotel Gokulam Park in Kochi on August 17.

Bibin George last acted in the film Gumasthan, which received positive reviews from the audience. Amal K Joby directed this film which was released at the cinemas on September 27.
