You must be living under a rock if you haven’t heard about House of the Dragon season 2. The series will premiere on June 16. And, the trailer has added to the excitement of the fans. With the HOTD fever setting in, a viral social media campaign has got New Yorkers saying, “Winter Is Coming.” The official social media handle of Game of Thrones has shared a CGI-generated video from New York’s Manhattan Bridge, showing black Targaryen flags. In what seems to be a winning marketing trick by HBO, GOT-themed banners have taken over famous landmarks across the US, including the Brooklyn Bridge.
While the Brooklyn Bridge is said to have been “claimed” for King Aegon II, the Manhattan Bridge remains “loyal” to Queen Rhaenyra.

Apart from NYC, the CGI videos took over the Chapultepec Castle in Mexico, which was claimed by Team Black, and Sugarloaf Mountain’s gondola by Team Green.
House of the Dragon is a prequel set some 300 years before the events that took place in Game of Thrones. Based on the books written by George RR Martin, the second season can be streamed on Jio Cinema. The show will depict a fierce battle for the throne between Rhaenyra Targaryen’s Team Black and Alicent Hightower’s Team Green.
More About House Of The Dragon 2
While the first season focused on the family dynamics among the Targaryens, the second part will delve more into the action on the battlefield, both on the seas and in the air. In simple terms, House of the Dragon Season 2 will follow up on the death of King Viserys, which triggered a succession crisis between Princess Rhaenyra and Aegon II for the Iron Throne.
Talking about the cast, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, and Eve Best, among others, are returning to reprise their roles as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Daemon Targaryen, Queen Alicent Hightower, and Princes Rhaenys Velaryon respectively. Some new faces will also grace the hallways of King’s Landing and the battlefields.
