While there is no official announcement from either of the families so far, reports claim that the duo is likely to tie the knot on April 14. Earlier today, Alia’s half-brother Rahul Bhatt confirmed that the much-awaited wedding is finally happening. Without sharing any details, Rahul mentioned that he has been invited to the wedding. Amid all the wedding rumours, Ranbir Kapoor is currently staying in Goregaon due to work-related commitments. An insider has informed BollywoodLife.com that Ranbir’s mother and veteran actress Neetu Kapoor has invited special chefs from Delhi and Lucknow for her son’s wedding. The source cited by the report claims that there will be over 50 counters of lavish food from different cuisine including Italian, Mexican, Punjabi, and Afghani. Reportedly, there will be a separate counter of Delhi chat. Not just this, but the entertainment portal also claims that there will be vegan food for bride-to-be Alia.
Alia’s Cousin Smilie Suri: ‘They Make An Amazing Pair’
Alia Bhatt’s actress-cousin Smilie Suri has now reacted to the news of her sister’s wedding with Ranbir Kapoor. While Smilie shared no information about Bollywood’s much-awaited wedding, she mentioned that Ranbir and Alia will make an amazing pair. “(I am) very happy. He (Ranbir Kapoor) seems like a nice guy, and I am of course very very very happy for her. She deserves the best in life. They make an amazing pair,” Smilie told Pinkvilla.
Alia’s Brother Rahul Confirms ‘It’s Happening’
Alia Bhatt’s half-brother Rahul Bhatt has now confirmed the much-awaited wedding during a conversation with BollywoodLife.com. While he did not confirm the date, Rahul mentioned that the wedding is happening and that he has been invited. “Yes, the wedding is happening and I have been invited. I will be there for the ceremonies. However, I am not going to sing and dance. I am a gym instructor by profession and I will be there in the capacity of a bouncer (laughs). I will be the rakshak at the wedding,” he said.
Ranbir-Alia To Make Official Announcement Soon: Reports
As reported by BollywoodLife.com, Ranbir and Alia will make the official announcement regarding their wedding soon. A source cited by the entertainment portal claims that the duo is busy with the preparations as of now and therefore they will announce their wedding ‘in a few days’. “The IT couple of Bollywood will make an announcement of their wedding within a few days. Ranbir himself told the media that he and Alia have all the intentions of getting married soon. They haven’t made any official announcement because they are extremely busy with their prep. Both Ranbir and Alia have fulfilled all their professional commitments and have currently engrossed themselves in the preparations as just merely a week left,” the source said.
Neetu Kapoor Reacts To Ranbir-Alia’s Wedding Date Reports
Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor was spotted by the paparazzi when she was asked about the couple’s wedding date. To this, Neetu said, “Aap bataao (You tell).” Not just this, when paps asked her for an invite, Neetu cutely smiled and sat in her car. In another video, a paparazzo can be heard saying, “tareekh toh bata dijiye Neetu ji shaadi ki (tell us the date of the wedding).” She asks “Kiski?” The paparazzo replied, “RK sir ki.” Neetu then said, “Tareekh hai kuch? Bhagwan jaane (god knows).” Later, another paparazzo asks “Koi 14 April bol raha hai koi 15 April. Aap hi bata do. (Some are saying April 14, some are saying April 15. You only tell us the dates),” Neetu replies to him by saying, “Main toh bol rahi hun ki ho gaya (I am saying it’s already done).”

Ranbir and Alia started dating back in 2017 when they met on the sets of Brahmastra. They made their relationship official in May 2018 when they arrived together at the wedding reception of actor Sonam Kapoor. In an interview, Ranbir had also confirmed that they were dating. In 2020, Ranbir had said that they would have been married that year had it not been for the Covid-19 pandemic.
