Bhanu Chander is an actor, director and producer, who is renowned for his works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema. The current generation only knows him as a character artist, but Chander was once a sensation. He was quite famous during the 80s. He entered the film industry in the year 1978 with Mana Voori Pandavulu. After that, he appeared as a character artist in many films like Bebbuli, Adavaalu Meeku Joharulu, and Satyam Shivam. The 1986 film Nireekshana gave Bhanu Chander a break as a hero. Directed by Balu Mahendra, the film also won two Nandi Awards. He got much recognition for this film. After that, he continued as a top star with many back-to-back hits.
Chander is known for his association with directors like K Viswanath, Balu Mahendra, B Narsing Rao, and K Balachander. The actor starred in Sutradharulu in 1990, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. He was last seen in the Telugu film Music Shop Murthy. Directed by Siva Paladugu, the film was produced through Fly High Cinemas. He began his cinematic journey in the Tamil industry with Balu Mahendra’s Moodupani. Apart from this, he also appeared in few Kannada films. He appeared in several Tamil and Telugu films over the years.

Directed by Bhanu Chander, the film is produced by Nattam Subba Rao under the banner Essar Arts Creations. The cast of the film includes Jayanth, Suman, Suhasini Maniratnam, Nasser and Seeta. The film is not released yet at the box office.
In a recent interview, Chander spoke about his decision to buy Trisha’s old house. Additionally, he also credited his wife for the beautiful transformation of their new home. He also expressed his contentment with the peaceful life he now enjoys with his family. The actor also shared that his elder son, Jayanth, continues to pursue a career in acting, while his youngest son has recently earned a doctorate degree.
