Erica Fernandes has come a long way in her career. She has been part of many hit TV shows and also song videos. The actress is currently seen in a web series Love Adhura with Karan Kundrra. During the promotion of the series, Erica revealed that she has faced discrimination.

In a conversation with Indian Express, Erica was quoted saying, “I have faced it, I have seen it at award functions also, big names have done it. I have experienced it. In Hollywood TV and films are both called Hollywood then why is there a differentiation here? Actors themselves have created that differentiation. But it differs from person to person.”

Talking about her latest show Love Adhura, t is directed by Tanveer Bookwala and also features Saqib Ayub, Chiragg Khatri, Vivek Madaan, Abhilasha B. Poul, and Jaineeraj Rajpurohit. This modern love story, full of dramatic sequences as suggested in the trailer, is sure to amaze the audience. Based in Munnar, Love Adhura depicts a story of desire intertwined with deception and intrigue. The series introduces Nandita and Sumit (Erica and Karan), two strangers whose chance encounter ignites a passionate affair. However, their love story quickly turns into a dangerous game. With a mix of thrill, mystery, and love, the series, which is now streaming on Amazon Mini TV promises to provide fans with an unforgettable experience. Moreover, this is the first time Erica and Karan will share the screen.

Erica Fernandes was last seen in the Amazon Mini TV series The Haunting while she is renowned for her roles as Dr Sonakshi Bose in the daily soap Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi opposite Shaheer Sheikh. Karan on the other hand was last seen hosting the reality show Temptation Island- India with Mouni Roy.

Talking to News18, Erica clarified that the reason behind taking her small breaks is to live life to its fullest and not to ‘come out of a character’. “I think after working in TV, I have learned how to switch in and out from a character. I can be on sets, I can be laughing and in the next I have to be emotional, crying. We have learned how to do this very quickly. It is not about coming out of a character but making up for the lost time and wanting to do things which you have missed while you were shooting,” she shared.
