TV show Saath Nibhaana Sathiya is said to be returning with second season. Actress Gia Manek, who played the original Gopi Modi aka Gopi Bahu in the daily soap, said in a recent interview that she has not been approached for the second season.
In an interview with Times Of India, Gia said, “I have lived the journey of Gopi Bahu. Even when Devoleena joined the show as the new Gopi Bahu, I never had any anger for her because, at the end of the day, everyone is doing their job. If not her, someone else would have done it. I don’t know much about the second season, but if they have cast Devoleena again, I am happy for her. I have got so much love from the show and people are making memes even after 10 years. I don’t feel bad about not being approached for the second season.”
Gia further said that an actor’s job is just to act and rest is on the channel and the producer about whether they want to come up with the second season and who they want to cast.
For the uninitiated, after two years of playing Gopi Bahu in the show, Gia was replaced by actress and Bigg Boss 13 contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee.
Meanwhile, ‘Rasode Me Kaun Tha,’ the rap version of Rupal Patel’s Kokilaben and Gia’s Gopi Bahu’s conversation in the show has swept the Internet. The audience is loving the auto-tuned video and there have been several memes around it.
