Jeremy Renner Joins Daniel Craig’s Knives Out 3
After a year of surviving the devastating snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner has signed his first film with Knives Out 3.

Hollywood star Jeremy Renner is on a roll. Days after announcing the return of his Paramount+ series, Mayor of Kingstown, the actor has joined the cast of Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 3 too. With Daniel Craig leading the show as Detective Benoit Blanc, Renner has been brought in alongside other actors like Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, John O’Connor, and Cailee Spaeny. Notably, the film marks the MCU star’s first film project that he has signed after his 2023 near-fatal snowplow accident. After going through a long recovery journey for an entire year, Renner started working at the start of 2024.

Jeremy Renner’s First Film After Snowplow Accident

According to a Deadline report, Rian Johnson has returned to the director’s chair and is also producing the film, as in Ram Bergman. Last week, the writer-director shared that the film is set to begin production soon.

“The next Benoit Blanc mystery, the follow up to Glass Onion and Knives Out, is called Wake Up Dead Man. We’re about to go into production on it and I AM SLIGHTLY EXCITED,” he wrote on Instagram.

In the meantime, Jeremy Renner has also confirmed his casting in the murder mystery film, sharing the update on his Instagram stories. A third film in the franchise, Knives Out 3 will follow a new murder case in a yet-to-be-disclosed setting and will see an eccentric slate of suspects being investigated by Benoit Blanc (Craig).

Plot details are yet to be revealed. Known for delivering a star-studded ensemble, the upcoming instalment of Knives Out is likely to be no different. While production is set to start next month, Netflix might be releasing it later in 2025.

Jeremy Renner’s Accident Recovery

The Hawkeye actor nearly lost his life after suffering a devastating snowplowing accident on 2023 New Year’s Eve, causing him over 30 broken bones and many serious injuries all over his body.

However, determined to survive and get back on track, Renner worked on a rigorous routine and is still recovering. He has even accepted that this journey will continue forever and he won’t be the same person again. “I had to accept it for the rest of my life. There’ll be nothing normal or as it was prior to the accident. By the way, I’m okay with that. It’s making my life better. I’m healthier because of it. I get to focus more on my health and well-being than I ever did before because I have to. It was a way for me to really accept that it is going to be forever,” he told People.
