Earlier, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and SS Rajamouli also lauded the film’s Telugu trailer. SS Rajamouli wrote, “Power-packed trailer it is… It sets the right mood and tone to watch the film FDFS. ‌Amitabh ji, Darling and Deepika’s characters seem to have a lot of depth and are truly intriguing. I am still stuck on Kamal sir’s look and how he amazes as always Nagi… can’t wait to immerse into your world on the 27th!”

Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga wrote, “Superb trailer Saw it three times This is definitely a very new world & a very new experience. FDFS Pakka @nagashwin7 time to party .”

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the trailer of the film was released earlier this month and it will be a futuristic take on the Mahabharat. The cast includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani.

Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin’s film. During the pre-release event, Big B opened up about his first reaction when he was offered the role of Ashwatthama. “When Nag Ashwin came and explained his idea to me, for the long time after he left I was thinking, ‘What the hell is Nagi drinking?’” Amitabh said.

“To see something like this which is absolutely outrageous, some of the visuals that you have seen are unbelievable. To have somebody conceive a project which is so futuristic and possible… and during the making of the film, you realise that no matter what he thought of he actually brought all the material, all the effects, every kind of vision that he had to the screen and that’s been really amazing. For me to be just a part of it, has been an experience I’ll never forget,” the veteran actor added.

Kalki 2898 AD will hit theatres on June 27, 2024.
