Kareena Kapoor 'Postpones' Work Commitments After BFFs Amrita and Malaika Arora's Father's Death? | Exclusive
Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora's best friend Kareena Kapoor has postponed an event in the wake of Anil Mehta's dad.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has postponed her work commitments following the death of her best friends Amrita and Malaika Arora’s father. Anil Mehta, the father of the Arora sisters, passed away on Wednesday morning. Kareena was seen heading to the Arora family’s home shortly after the news of his passing made headlines. She has been by Malaika and Amrita’s side ever since.

While supporting her grieving friends during this difficult time, a source informed us that Kareena has also delayed her work plans for the coming days. She was scheduled to attend an event launch on Thursday in Mumbai. “Kareena Kapoor’s team has decided to postpone the event due to the tragedy,” the source shared.

Kareena has been close friends with the Arora sisters for years, standing by each other through thick and thin. Their bond goes beyond just celebrating the good times—they have always been there for one another during tough moments like this.

Meanwhile, Malaika issued a public statement regarding her father Anil Mehta’s death. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” read the statement.

About Malaika Arora’s Father’s Death:

Earlier in the day, a police source revealed that Malaika’s mother, Joyce Arora, recorded her statement with the police, sharing details of the events that unfolded that morning. Joyce stated that Anil Mehta would routinely sit on the balcony to read the newspapers every morning. Though they had divorced years ago, they had started living together again in recent years. On Wednesday morning, when Joyce noticed his slippers in the living room, she went to check on him on the balcony.

When she couldn’t find him there, she leaned over and looked below, where the building’s watchman was shouting for help. Joyce also told the police that Anil Mehta wasn’t suffering from any major illness—just some knee pain.
