In a recent commercial, Karishma Kapoor revived her popular song Sona Kitna Sona from the 1997 film Hero No. 1 and fans couldn’t keep calm.

Karisma Kapoor ruled Bollywood in the 90s with her impeccable acting along with flawless dancing skills. Decades later, the actress took her fans down the memory lane recreating one of her famous songs but with a twist. In a recent commercial, the actress revived her popular song Sona Kitna Sona from the 1997 film Hero No. 1 and fans couldn’t keep calm. Most of them stated how no one but the actress herself can perform to the song best.

Karisma has appeared in Swiggy Instamart’s Dhanteras special commercial, which hints at buying gold. In the video, Karisma is shown dancing on a film set to the classic song, Sona kitna Sona hai, while the music director replaces the lyrics every few seconds, justifying it with the phrase ‘Sona to chale gaya’. He changes it to Rona, Dhona and Khona. Eventually, Karisma steps in to give a threatening look.

The old track, which originally displayed her dance abilities alongside Govinda, has been revitalised by Karisma’s effortless energy and charisma. Fans are left stunned as the actress brings the magic to the screen even after decades.

Actress Ridhima Pandit was amazed and wrote, “Mannnn, Karisma Kapoor loookkks the sameee . Wowww howww”. Many fans agreed to her. An individual noted, “Karishma looking exactly the same after 20 years!!” while another stated, “Oh man… she froze the time. Still so same? Wow.” A person noted, “Karishma Kapoor is proof that some things only get better with time.” One of them also suggested, “Karishma should make a comeback..She will give all heroines a run for their money …What a beauty.”

Karisma made her acting debut in Prem Qaidi (1991). She later rose to prominence with films like Raja Babu (1994), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Coolie No 1 (1995), Raja Hindustani (1996), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Fiza (2000) and Zubeidaa (2001). She recently appeared in Homi Adajania’s mystery film Murder Mubarak which was produced under the Maddock Films banner. The film presents a remarkable book-to-screen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s Club You To Death. The film also has Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra and Suhail Nayyar.
