Liam Payne Was 'Effectively Dead' At Birth Due To Liver Ailment: 'Have To Be Careful Not To Drink...'
Liam Payne had a history of medical conditions, dating back to his birth. He opened up about this in his 2011 book.

One Direction’s Liam Payne passed away on October 16 in Argentina. The late singer was battling several health ailments, dating back to his birth. In fact, he was “effectively dead” at birth. He made this revelation in his 2011 book, Dare To Dream, and also opened up about his liver ailments.

Liam wrote, “Weird, I know. The doctors couldn’t get any reaction from me so I had to be brought round and although it seemed like I was okay, there were underlying problems.” Liam was born three weeks premature and kept falling sick. He frequented several hospitals till he was four years old. However, the doctors couldn’t diagnose “what was wrong”.

The late singer also wrote, “They discovered that one of my kidneys wasn’t working properly and it had scarred. I had to have 32 injections in my arm in the morning and evening to try and make me better. I’ve still got both kidneys but one doesn’t work so I have to be careful not to drink too much, even water, and I have to keep myself as healthy as possible.”

However, there are reports that Liam was under the influence of alcohol at the time of his death. While it was initially reported that he fell off his hotel balcony in Argentina, a new statement by the Buenos Aires Security Ministry revealed that Liam Payne ‘had jumped from the balcony of his room’.

In a statement to the Associated Press (AP), Buenos Aires Security Ministry’s communications director, Pablo Policicchio, shed light on his death and said that he ‘jumped from the balcony’ of his room that was situated on the third floor. He was put up in Casa Sur Hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood of Argentina’s capital. They also revealed that the Police rushed to the hotel after they received an emergency stress call after 5 PM local time.

The police were warned about an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.” The Buenos Aires police said in a statement that Liam had “extremely serious injuries.” Medics added that the singer died on the spot. In the 911 call recording accessed by AP, the manager said, “A guest who is overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol … He’s destroying the entire room and, well, we need you to send someone, please.” The autopsy is underway.
