Malayalam star Mohanlal recently faced a setback with the poor reception of his movie Malaikottai Vaaliban. The period action drama, which had Mohanlal playing an elite arena warrior was promoted aggressively and was one of the most anticipated Malayalam projects of the year. However, the direction and shoddy fight scenes were criticized and the film, made on a budget of Rs 65 crore could not even recover half of its budget, ending its theatrical run at Rs 35 crore. Leaving the failure of Malaikottai Vaaliban behind, the actor recently dedicated an Instagram story to his mother on the occasion of Mother’s Day two days back.
The seasoned actor took a stroll down memory lane by sharing a heartfelt throwback photo on his Instagram Stories. The monochromatic image captured a tender moment between him and his mother, Santhakumari Nair. In the nostalgic snapshot, the actor stood proudly beside his mother, who exudes grace while seated in an elegant chair adorned in a traditional saree.
Accompanying the heartfelt image was a simple yet deeply meaningful caption: “Happy Mother’s Day,” a poignant expression of gratitude and love for the woman who has undoubtedly been a guiding light throughout his life’s journey. A single heart emoji added a touch of warmth and affection to the heartfelt tribute.
