Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Mr & Mrs Mahi, scheduled to hit theatres this week. The actress has been actively promoting her film nationwide and recently took a break to attend the IPL final match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Chennai. Accompanied by her co-star Rajkummar Rao, they cheered on the teams vying for the prestigious trophy.
In the first few photos, Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are seen in the stands, clearly having a great time. Janhvi Kapoor looks stunning in a white suit adorned with shimmering green embellishments, while Rajkummar Rao sports a vibrant yellow shirt. They’re seen smiling and affectionately embracing each other. In the last image, the duo can be seen celebrating KKR’s win against SRH at Chennai’s Chepauk stadium. The trailer for Mr & Mrs Mahi has generated significant excitement among fans who are eager to experience the fusion of cricket and romance in an intriguing storyline. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. The trailer portrays the actors as a married couple deeply passionate about cricket. Janhvi Kapoor’s character is depicted as a doctor who finds joy in both watching and playing cricket, while Rajkummar Rao’s character is portrayed as an aspiring cricketer striving to establish himself in the sport.
Some time back, Rajkummar Rao shared BTS photos and videos from the shoot on his social media which quickly went viral. Apart from them, Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya also have key roles. The film is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Mr & Mrs Mahi will be released on May 31.
Next, Janhvi Kapoor has Ulajh, which will hit the theatres on July 5. She will also appear in the highly anticipated film Devara, opposite Jr. NTR and Saif Ali Khan. On the other hand, this will be Rajkummar Rao’s second release in May 2024, after Srikanth. The film also stars Alaya F, Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar.
