In a lighthearted throwback interview, actress Nimrat Kaur opened up about a sweet memory from her school days, leaving her Dasvi co-star Abhishek Bachchan amused. The interview, which resurfaced on social media, has sparked interest for Nimrat’s playful recount of her “school love."
During the promotion of Dasvi in 2022, Nimrat was asked by host Siddharth Kannan to share details about her early romance. Though typically private about her personal life, Nimrat shared a glimpse into her past but kept the details vague.
When asked about her “school love," Nimrat hesitated before responding, “I don’t want to say too much because the guy is married now and has kids. It’ll be bad if I say. I’ll get him into trouble."
Without revealing his identity, Nimrat went on to describe the boy, saying, “He was studious, a little shy, very sweet, but also a bit of a bad boy. He used to help me with my chemistry work." Abhishek, quick to jump into the conversation, quipped, “He was your teacher?" Nimrat laughed and clarified, “No, no, he wasn’t my teacher. He just helped me with my chemistry homework. I remember he had beautiful hair, and it used to flop around back in school."
The conversation took a humorous turn when Siddharth asked why the relationship didn’t move forward. With a coy smile, Nimrat responded, “Who said I didn’t take it to the next level?" Abhishek, caught off guard, playfully exclaimed, “Oh, God! Nice one!"
Nimrat Kaur rose to prominence with her performance in The Lunchbox, which earned her international acclaim. Since then, she has appeared in popular American series like Homeland and Wayward Pines. Her roles in Airlift and Dasvi further cemented her place in Bollywood.
As for Abhishek, fans are eagerly waiting for his next role, where he will reportedly play the antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King.
