Priyaank Sharma and Shaza Morani's Hindu Wedding Postponed Due to Covid-19
Priyaank Sharma and Shaza Morani's traditional Hindu wedding, which was set to be a lavish affair in Aamby Valley or Khandala, have been postponed due to the pandemic.

Padmini Kolhapure’s son Priyaank Sharma and Shaza Morani’s extended wedding celebrations have met with a roadblock. The couple was set to have their Hindu wedding in Maharashtra, but that has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The couple had their court marriage last month, and are currently hosting pre-wedding festivities in the Maldives.

The celebrations would have extended to Aamby Valley or Khandala, where the families had wanted to conduct the Hindu wedding ceremony. To be held on March 5, the event was supposed to be an extravagant affair with 250 invitees.

“But that’s not happening for now as there has been a resurgence of COVID cases in Maharashtra and the rules have brought the otherwise permissible limit of 250 individuals to 50 again. In view of this, the Sharmas and Moranis will have the Hindu wedding done soon but at a later date. The Maldives festivities were a pre-wedding celebration to the Hindu wedding which was meant to follow four days from now,” a source told TOI.

Mohammed Morani, bride Shaza Morani’s uncle, confirmed the same, adding, “We respect the law and will not put anybody to risk.”

Their celebrations in Maldives have been attended by Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Shivangi Kolhapure, Padmini Kolhapure, Tutu Sharma, Karim Morani and family, Mohammed Morani and family, Padmini’s best friend Poonam Dhillon and Poonam’s ex-husband Ashok Thakeria.
