Once again, the issue of drugs has sparked a controversy in the Telugu film industry. Several reports have surfaced on the Internet confirming the presence of many well-known individuals in the Telugu Film Industry at a rave party in Bengaluru. According to the reports, senior actress Hema was also at that rave party.
When asked about her presence Hema denied the allegations. But later the Bengaluru City Police confirmed that the veteran actress was present at the party. After that, Hema tested positive for drugs confirming her presence. Presently, this issue has sparked many controversies in the film industry. Recently, famous film producer Natty Kumar has made some serious comments that have flared a massive stir.
Producer Natty Kumar said, “Whenever someone from the film industry attends those rave parties conducted by the drug mafias and gets caught, the entire film is blamed. People start losing interest in your films if you get indulged in such a thing. Those who commit such crimes should be punished according to the law regardless of who they are or what they do.” He mentioned that the reputation of the industry gets tarnished because of these types of people. To safeguard the reputation of the film industry, the Movie Artists Association and other related associations should take stern action against those people.
In a press conference at his office in Hyderabad, Natty stated that the facts regarding actress Hema in the rave party should be brought to light. The producer demanded strict action against the actress if she was proven guilty. Natty further said, “Earlier when a complaint was raised regarding an award function conducted by Suresh Kondeti in Goa, he was banned from the industry. Although it was a private event, the association decided to ban him. Similarly, if Hema is proven guilty such a strict action should be taken against her.” The State police have reportedly started the investigation process as more development is awaited.
