Kareena Kapoor Khan has all the right reasons to be on cloud nine. The actress, basking in the success of her film Crew, has been garnering praise from all quarters. Now, celebrity pastry chef Pooja Dhingra surprised Kareena Kapoor with delectable sweet treats after she loved her performance in the Crew. The actress on Thursday shared a picture of two chocolate cakes that Pooja made after being “inspired” by the plot of Crew.
The cakes were adorned with edible gold on top of them, hinting at the gold smuggling that was shown in the movie. Sharing the pictures, Kareena wrote, “Thank you for this Pooja Dhingra. Sona yahaan hai. Yummy…”
Pooja Dhingra also re-shared Kareena Kapoor’s Instagram Stories to her profile. While doing so, the pastry chef also tagged the crew producer Rhea Kapoor. She re-shared the picture with Crew’s track Sona Kitna Sona Hai being played in the background. The text along with the picture read, “Made something inspired by Crew!! We got the gold, Rhea Kapoor.”
Meanwhile, Crew hit the theatres on March 29. The film is headlined by Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu. The Rajesh A Krishnan directorial is jointly backed by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Digvijay Purohit. It is produced under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network.

Earlier, in a conversation with the news agency PTI, Kriti Sanon hinted at a potential sequel of Crew. The actress said, “People have been loving it. We would genuinely love to be back and do something fun. Obviously, it puts a lot of pressure on the writers… It’s the audience that motivates the makers for a sequel. When they love something so much, you feel you can definitely do something next. So, hope so.”
She added, “It’s nice to see the response to the content. Then, it doesn’t matter if it’s a man or a woman. It’s just the content that was loved, something which the cinema should actually aim for… Where box office numbers don’t depend on a male-centric film or female-centric film and it’s about only content. It doesn’t have to be led by a man to pull the audience to the theatre.”
Apart from its leading ladies, the movie also features Diljit Dosanjh in a cameo role, while Kapil Sharma makes a special appearance. On Kareena Kapoor’s work front, the actress has Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders and Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again in the pipeline.
