Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is currently busy with his upcoming project The Delhi Files. Earlier in April, the director confirmed that the film would go on floors this year and will be released next year. Known for his dedication to authentic storytelling, Agnihotri is traveling from Kerala to Kolkata to Delhi, to gather comprehensive information for his film. Recently, he also reached Gandhi’s Ashram in Sevagram for his research. Seemingly impressed, the director shared his experience of the cottage on his social media handle.
The Kashmir Files director urged everyone to visit the cottage calling his experience ‘inspiring’. On his X (fFormerly Twitter) handle, the director shared, “For the research of The Delhi Files, I spent days at Gandhi’s Ashram in Sevagram. This cottage has been visited by who’s who of the world. Some of the best journalists used to station themselves here to interview Gandhi. Every parent must take their children there. Truly inspiring.”
With his note, Agnihotri also attached a set of pictures featuring him posing against the backdrop of the cottage. The director exuded style in the pictures, dressed in a grey shirt and black pants. One of the frames captured him greeting a woman with folded hands.

If a report by Telly Chakkar is to be believed, Agnihotri has immersed himself in deep conversations with historians and writers to get valuable insights on the events which are expected to be depicted in The Delhi Files. Not only this but the Tashkent Files director has also read over 100 books and over 200 articles related to the historical events, forming the basic plot of his much awaited film. Reports suggest that the director and his team travelled across 20 states, for research work.
Previously, in a post announcing The Delhi Files, Agnihorti had mentioned that the film would form the final installment in a trilogy that includes The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files. He had shared, “Few years back, I started telling untold stories of independent India.1. The Tashkent Files – Right To Truth. 2. The Kashmir Files – Right To Justice (releasing soon) Happy to announce the last & the boldest of the trilogy: 3. The Delhi Files – Right To Life. Pls bless us.”
