In the latest episode, Aditya Roy Kapur hit the Koffee With Karan couch with Arjun Kapoor and opened up about feeling objectified due to his 'sexy' persona.

Koffee With Karan Season 8 returns with a fresh episode. The chat show continues to be a favourite platform for Bollywood actors to share intriguing details about their personal and professional lives. In the latest episode, Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor made a charming appearance. Aditya opened up about feeling objectified due to his ‘sexy’ persona during the show.

Aditya shared, “I do not feel like I fuel that fire that much. I mean it is not like I am sitting around, posting these thirst traps that often. I am posting pictures of sunsets and weird songs more often (laughs). It is not a game that I have mastered by any stretch of imagination. I look at it as a positive. I think it’s a positive thing.”

He further said, “As far as the recognition for the work is concerned now, I’ve done enough work over the years. I don’t feel like it has something that hinders the perception of the work that I do. I think it only adds to it.”

Earlier in an interview with Film Companion, Aditya mentioned that he experienced objectification early in his career as a VJ for Channel V. “I started as a VJ with Channel V and I was well into being objectified. My first promo introducing me as VJ Aditya involved taking my shirt off at Agonda Beach in Goa. So it has been happening since the start of my career,” he shared. He also mentioned that he doesn’t stick to a diet all the time and enjoys eating everything. However, when gearing up for a role, he ensures he works towards achieving the required physique for the character.

Aditya Kapur began his career as a VJ on Channel V India, hosting shows such as Pakao and India’s Hottest (2007) alongside VJ Bruna Abdullah until 2008. He made his debut in Hindi cinema with a supporting role in London Dreams (2009), sharing the screen with Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, and Asin Thottumkal. Aditya’s first lead role came in Aashiqui 2 (2013), which also marked the debut of actress Shraddha Kapoor.

The actor will be gracing the screen in director Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic drama Metro… In Dino. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Fatima Sana Shaikh, Kay Kay Menon, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, and more. Additionally, he is set to feature in director Vardhan Ketkar’s action film Thadam, with details of the film still under wraps.
