Popular actress Mouni Roy has captivated the audiences in the Indian adaptation of the globally acclaimed reality series, Temptation Island India. The show, premiering exclusively on JioCinema, is a unique journey where couples choose to spend time apart with enticing singles to examine the resilience of their relationships and explore the boundaries of their love and commitment.
Mouni Roy hosts the show with Karan Kundrra and helps couples navigate their relationships in this test. Reflecting on the concept of the show, Mouni Roy shared her unique perspective with News18 Showsha. She said, “I feel that I am myself a part of this experiment. We are all humans made of emotions at the end of the day and we all have our own journeys and destinies. The insecurities you see in a relationship in the outside world are what get tested here on Temptation Island.”
“It’s not the love being tested on the show, it’s the relationship being tested. Just like how I’m the love guru friend for all of my friends, I always give them the most unbiased and logical advice. That’s why I’m truly the queen of hearts,” Mouni added.
Mouni, who is married to Dubai-based businessman Suraj Nambiar, had earlier told us that she is a hard-core romantic at heart. “I am a hard-core romantic person. I believe in old school romance and for me writing letters and having long conversations over the phone is romantic. Suraj and I have known each other for five years and it was very organic with us. It was a typical boy-meets-girl and we realised that we complement each other in many ways,” she had said.
