In a move to provide a big relief to people who struggle to reach their hometowns to celebrate the Ganeshotsav, The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has unlocked one side of a 42 km section of the Mumbai-Goa highway from Panvel to Kasu in Raigad district, which will make the journey or travel easy and quick.

The 84 km long highway, which the NHAI is working on has been divided into two packages – Panvel to Kasu (42 Km) and Kasu to Indapur (42 km).

Here’s What NHAI’s Official Says about Panvel to Kasu Stretch

As per the details shared by the NHAI’s official from Panvel to Kasu stretch, he said that the 38 km of the route has been concreted, and the remaining km is a part of flyers and bridges.

In order to reinforce the road surface, some areas of the road are being watered on a daily basis. To give a temporary solution to the traffic flow, steel slags have been spread across the flyover and bridge.

Another package up to Nagothane in Raigad district

The official also shared that a further 10 km long package in Raigad’s Nagothane also has been rendered pothole-free. According to the official, the road became usable after applying white topping and cement treatment base (CTB) on it.

From now onwards, commuters from Palaspe Junctioon in Panvel to Naothane can travel on the highway and complete their journey in under one hour.
