Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are enjoying the success of their latest film, Tiger 3. In the third film of the franchise, Katrina and Salman reprised their roles as Zoya and Tiger to fight against the antagonist, played by Emraan Hashmi. A major portion of the film has been shot in Turkey. As such, the Türkiye Tourism Promotion & Development Agency, in collaboration with the Türkiye Culture & Tourism Office in New Delhi, recently hosted exclusive screenings of the film in Delhi and Mumbai.
Shot in stunning locations of Istanbul, Antalya and Cappadocia, the film showcases Turkiye’s grandeur on the global stage. The events hosted at PVR Director’s Cut in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj in Delhi, and PVR BKC in Mumbai were collectively attended by over 130 esteemed guests and notable personalities from both cities.
The screening events drew the presence of prominent travel agents and leading travel and lifestyle influencers, adding an extra layer of distinction to the soirée. The eminent personalities at the soiree included delegates from Turkiye flown in, especially for the film screenings, distinguished ambassadors and dignitaries. Some of the esteemed guests in attendance were Cuneyt Yavuzcan, Consulate General of Turkiye in Mumbai and Turkiye’s Ambassador to India, H.E. Firat Sunel in Delhi. Post the screenings, the viewing parties were treated with insightful presentations on Turkiye’s rich cultural history, tourism delights, and growing popularity among Indians.
Adding a melodic note to the celebration, the event also featured a screening of the music video of ‘Leke Prabhu Ka Naam’ from Tiger 3. Shot against the breathtaking backdrop of Cappadocia, Turkiye, the video showcases the lead couple Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif grooving amidst hot air balloons, the Fairy Chimneys, and the picturesque restaurants in Goreme. This musical interlude beautifully encapsulates the essence of the film and Turkey’s enchanting landscapes, creating a sensory delight for the audience.
Speaking on the successful film screenings, the Turkiye Tourism Authority said, “We express heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed guests for gracing this extraordinary celebration of Turkiye, showcased through the lens of Tiger 3. The exceptional response witnessed at these events towards our nation is a true reflection of the strong ties between India and Türkiye. The triumph of these events is also a reminder of the power of cultural exchange in fostering understanding and unity between our two countries. We look forward to continued collaborations that will further deepen the connection between the vibrance of Indian cinema and the enchanting landscapes of Türkiye.”
Türkiye has previously showcased its splendour and served as the ideal shoot location for other Indian blockbusters like Race 2, Dil Dhadakne Do, and Ek Tha Tiger. Building on this rich legacy, prominent Indian production houses are gearing up to film in Türkiye in 2024, marking a new chapter in the enduring partnership between the two nations.
