Sunny Deol Talks About His Bond With Salman Khan, Says 'We Spoke About Doing Something Together'

Sunny Deol delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of his career with Gadar 2. The actor who is all set to collaborate with Aamir Khan for his next has time and again spoken about his fondness for the three Khans. In another recent interaction, Sunny Deol explained how he has developed a special connection with Salman Khan.

During an interview with the news agency PTI, Sunny Deol shared, “We spent nearly two-three hours in Goa. We were laughing and joking about just in general, we were happy with how things are. We also spoke about doing something together. He (Salman) was very happy. I remember he had called me once and how emotional he was and he said how much he loves me. That’s the kind of connection we have.”

In the same interview, Sunny Deol also opened up about Shah Rukh Khan, “I’m so thankful to him (Shah Rukh). I remember speaking to him and he was in Dubai for the promotions (of Jawan). I thought he wouldn’t come but he came straight from there. He was there for a little while. I didn’t get a chance to meet or speak to him after that (party) but whenever I do it would be beautiful. We as actors have certain things (that happen) over a period of time. When we are younger, we are a bit different, and as time goes by, we start maturing and we start understanding what life is in reality. All of us have changed quite a lot. That’s the beautiful thing about it. Time is a healer of everything,” he stated.

Sunny Deol has been in the news since the release of Gadar 2 earlier this year. The film was released 22 years after the first film dropped. Gadar 2 brought back India’s most loved family Tara, Sakeena, and re-introduced their son, Jeete. Set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971, the film revolved around the love of Tara Singh and Sakeena and the strong father-son bond between Tara Singh and Charanjeet. In the latter sequel, Jeete lands in Pakistan and ends up being caught and tortured. Tara Singh saves him. The film brought back Sunny as Tara and Ameesha Patel as Sakeena.

The film was a massive hit. Gadar 2 collected Rs 685 Crore in India alone and Sunny had hosted a star-studded party which was attended by Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
