Vikram Kochhar Recalls Celebrating B'day With Shah Rukh Khan On Dunki Sets: 'SRK Was Standing And...'
Actor Vikram Kochhar, who was in the recent Shah Rukh Khan movie Dunki, talked about working with SRK.

Actor Vikram Kochhar, who was in the recent Shah Rukh Khan movie Dunki, talked about working with SRK. Vikram shared that small gestures from SRK made him emotional, like celebrating Vikram’s birthday at 3 am on set. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Vikram also mentioned visiting SRK’s Mannat twice and how wonderful it felt.

The actor said that he doesn’t have Shah Rukh’s number but sends messages to him through his manager. He said, “I was scared to ask Shah Rukh Khan’s number. I have his manager’s number. Even if I have to message him something, I do it through her. I got messages from him, through Pooja mam a lot of times. But yes, sometimes I get messages.”

Sharing a sweet memory from the sets, he said, “We were shooting for an underwater sequence the whole night and it was my birthday the next day. We were shooting till 3 or 4 am and after the scene someone called me and said, ‘Sir is calling.’ When I went I saw three cakes on a table and SRK was standing in the middle. We could not record anything because we were on set. He made sure he was there and celebrated with me. He even hugged me.”

The actor also recently spoke to VS Talks and revealed that he was willing to take multiple re-takes of a scene that involved his co-star Sapna Sand, who played his mother, slapping him hard. Vikram mentioned that when he was first slapped by Sapna he noticed Shah Rukh Khan breaking into laughter. He was encouraged by the superstar’s reaction because that assured him that the scene was turning out to be funny.

Recalling this moment, Vikram said, “Behind the camera, Shah Rukh sir was standing, and he couldn’t control his laughter. On that silent set, the sound of the slap was so loud, and there Shah Rukh sir is doing (enacts laughter). And he is not in front of the camera, but standing behind it and laughing.”

Vikram played the role of Balindar “Buggu” Lakhanpal in the comedy-drama.
