Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding was one of the highlights of 2021. The wedding was an extravagant affair that took place at a heritage hotel in Rajasthan. However, an old video of the actor has resurfaced in which he claims that he is terrified of old hotels.
In the old interview, he was seen speaking about his fears of staying at heritage hotels. Reportedly, it was a promotional interview for his 2020 film Bhoot: The Haunted Ship. He revealed, “I am very, actually, petrified of hotels that are like palaces turned into hotels, heritage hotels, where you can sense some kind of history over there.”
Vicky further said that he stays awake in these hotels whenever he has to shoot at such places and that he is terrified of the paintings. He said, “Often the lights of the hotel would go on and I would die seeing the paintings hanging on the wall until the generator was turned on.”
But the netizens pointed out that despite that he chose to marry Katrina Kaif in an old hotel. Vicky and Katrina got married at the Hotel Six Senses Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur, which is 130 kilometres away from Jaipur. Reportedly, it is a 14th-century 700-year-old fort in Rajasthan.
Vicky Kaushal is known for films like Masaan, Sardar Udham and Uri: The Surgical Strike. He has received numerous awards including a National Film Award, and two Filmfare Awards.
His upcoming project is titled Sam Bahadur, which is scheduled to release on December 1, 2023. Meghna Gulzar is the director of the film, and it is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala, under the banner of RSVP Movies. The film also features Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in prominent roles.
