The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2024 result for B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) and LL.M Programme have been announced. Those who took the exam can check the scores on the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in, by using their application number and password.
As per the official website, a total of 18044 candidates had registered for the BA LLB exam while 17174 students took it. Meanwhile, 1866 students applied for the LLM exam and 1457 appeared for it. “Candidates can download their official AILET -2024 scorecards by logging into their account on the AILET 2024 portal through university website https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in,” reads the official notice.

Step 4: The result will appear on the screen. Download and take a printout of the same for future use.
AILET 2024 Result: Counselling Details
The counselling process for BA LLB and LLM will begin tomorrow, December 15. Candidates may apply for the counselling process and pay the registration fees between December 15 to 22. The first seat allotment list will be released on December 29. Thereafter, between December 29 to January 4, students will be able to report to the colleges and pay the admission fees to reserve their seats. Candidates who make it to the first merit list will have to deposit a provisional admission confirmation fee of Rs 50,000 by January 4. A total of four merit lists will be released by NLU. The entire counselling process will end on May 20.
“The University will refund the counselling fee only to candidates who successfully registered for Online Counselling, paid the counselling fee, but couldn’t secure a place in the any provisional merit list due to higher cut-offs. The refund process will commence after March 15, 2024,” reads the official notice.
The National Law University (NLU) conducts the AILET every year for admission to the BA LLB (Hons), LLM, and PhD programmes across institutes in the country. The exam was held on December 10 in a single shift from 11 PM to 1 PM in 50 test centres across 35 cities throughout the country. The answer key was released on December 10. AILET 2024 comprises negative markings in the exam in MCQ sections only. The criteria for negative marking is based on the formula 0.25×4=1 which means per wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to a deduction of one mark.
