After launching its latest iPhone 15 series smartphones earlier this month in new colours, the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is reportedly considering bringing the iPhone 15 models in the traditional Product Red colour next year.
According to MacRumors, While the iPhone 15 models are available in a variety of colours, there is currently no (PRODUCT)RED option for the devices. However, there is a decent possibility that the colour will make a reappearance early next year.
The company has released at least one new iPhone in (PRODUCT)RED every year since 2017, so it seems probable that the color could be introduced for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in March or April of 2024, in order to boost sales of the devices midway through their product cycle.
This is exactly what happened with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 series, which both gained a (PRODUCT)RED option about six to seven months after their initial release, the report said.
It’s unclear if the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will also be made available in (PRODUCT)RED early next year. Earlier this year, 9to5Mac reported that Apple tested a dark red color option for the iPhone 15 Pro models, but leaker @URedditor disputed this claim.
In the past, mid-cycle colour additions have included yellow for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in March 2023, green for all iPhone 13 models in March 2022, and purple for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in April 2021.
In related news, iPhone SE 4 is not likely to launch before 2025 as per reports but Apple could make big changes for its next SE model in the market. We have been hearing stories about a new-look iPhone SE variant for a few years now but that could finally become a reality with the iPhone SE 4 in 2025.
As highlighted by MacRumors in its report, the new iPhone SE 4 could borrow its design from the iPhone 14 series, making it taller and more modern than all the iPhone SE models launched so far.
