The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the results of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2023 for the August session soon. As per media reports, the results are likely to be declared by the end of September. However, an official confirmation is awaited. Once released, the results can be accessed on the official website which is ctet.nic.in.
CBSE released the preliminary answer keys for CTET 2023 on September 15 and the last date to raise objection was Sept 18. After reviewing the objections raised to the answer key, CBSE will release the final answer key and the result. Candidates must note that the CTET 2023 scorecard is valid for life. The exam is used to determine who is hired to teach at several CBSE schools.

This year, CBSE received more than 29 lakh applications. Around 80 per cent of the candidates who registered for the exam appeared for it. From the total, 15,01,719 candidates registered for paper 1 (for classes 1 to 5), of which 14,02,184 were for paper 2 (for classes 6 to 8). The 17th edition of CTET was held in 3,121 examination centres throughout India in 136 cities. While 80 per cent of the registered candidates had appeared in the examination.
For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded to the candidates. There is no negative marking for any wrong or unattempted answer. To clear the exam, candidates belonging to the unreserved category must get at least 60 per cent, or 90 out of 150 marks. While students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and People with Disabilities (PWD) categories, must receive 55 per cent, or 82 out of 150 to pass the exam.
