Indian captain Rohit Sharma has a chance to surpass two illustrious records in the final of Asia Cup 2023. The summit clash between India and Sri Lanka is set to take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on September 17. The Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bat first, meaning India will be chasing under the lights.
It was a historic occasion for Rohit as he became the 9th Indian cricketer to complete 250 ODI games. The 36-year-old has already led the Indian team to the Asia Cup title in 2018 and he has a chance of joining former captains MS Dhoni and Mohammad Azharuddin to win multiple ODI Asia Cup titles.
The Indian captain has already smashed three fifties in five Asia Cup games, and even though he got dismissed on a duck against Bangladesh in the Super 4 clash, the ‘Hitman’ has a chance of surpassing two massive records.
