Apart from the grandeur and guestlist, the three-day Ambani gala in Jamnagar also stood out for its candid and even cute family moments.
The pre-wedding festivities for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant saw the entire family — Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, his wife and Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani, Anant’s siblings Reliance Jio Infocomm chairman Akash Ambani with his wife Shloka Mehta and kids Veda and Prithvi, and Isha Ambani, who heads Reliance Retail, with her husband Anand Piramal and her kids, Aadiya Shakti and Krishna – in attendance.
While Nita and Mukesh Ambani’s performance led to pictures of grace and poise, Akash and Isha were seen sharing a light moment with international artiste Rihanna.
Anant and Radhika, and Akash and Shloka were seen enjoying the performances.
Isha also had an adorable moment with Anand, while Ambani was seen playing with his granddaughter.
All three nights of celebrations were themed. Day 1 was called An Evening in Everland, with the dress code listed as “elegant cocktail”.
Day 2 was A Walk on the Wildside with “jungle fever” the suggested dress code. It was held outdoors in the Ambanis’ animal rescue centre in Jamnagar, and guests are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothing for this event. Invitees then swapped their safari-themed outfits for more elegant ones for Mela Rouge. The dress code for this was “dazzling desi romance”, suggesting glamorous traditional South Asian attires for all.
The final day saw two events. The first one, Tusker Trails, suggests “casual chic” dressing, as guests are expected to further explore the green ambience of Jamnagar. The final party, Hashtakshar, called for an elegant evening with heritage Indianwear.
