JEE Main 2024: Candidates must note that the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2024 score will be applicable for admission to IITs across India

The registration for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 is being conducted by the National Test Agency (NTA). Eligible candidates willing to apply can visit the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nta.ac.in and apply before the deadline. Candidates should further note that the last date to apply for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2024 is November 30.

It is important to note that the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2024 score will be applicable for admission to Indian Institutes of Information Technology, National Institutes of Technology, and other centrally funded technology institutions (CFTIs) partaking through the central seat allocation board.

To be eligible for the JEE Main examination, candidates should have secured at least 75 per cent marks in Class 12 or be in the top 20 percentile in the Class 12 exam conducted by any recognised board. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories will have to secure 65 per cent marks in the class 12 board examination. The JEE Main 2024 is conducted for admission into undergraduate engineering, planning and architecture programmes.

In addition to that, the JEE Main 2024 session 1 examination will be conducted from January 24 to February 1, while the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exams will take place from April 1 to April 15, 2024. Furthermore, the National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Main 2024 session 1 in computer-based test (CBT) mode. Talking about the exam pattern, students will have to attempt 75 questions within a stipulated time of three hours.

Candidates who intend to participate in both sessions 1 and 2 do not need to apply individually. These applicants can key in their session 1 login credentials to pay the exam fee during the session 2 application window. Note that the admissions to engineering and architectural courses are carried out through the JEE Main examination for BE, BArch, BTech, and B. Planning courses.
