The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the round 2 counselling process of the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2023 today, December 18. Those who took the exam and cleared it can apply for the counselling process on the official website — mcc.nic.in. The application process will conclude on December 21.

The NEET SS 2023 counselling round 2 choice filling and payment process will be available from December 18 to 21. The seat allotment will be processed on December 22 and the merit list will be released on December 23. Those who make it to the round 2 merit list will have to report to their assigned institutions between December 24 and 31 to reserve their seats for admission to D.M./M.Ch./DNB SS courses.

In order to secure the offered seat during the counselling procedure, students must also pay the prescribed tuition fee. To be eligible for the NEET SS counselling registration 2023, candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 5,000 and a refundable security deposit amount of Rs 2 lakh concurrently.

NEET SS Round 2 Counselling 2023: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website of MCC — mcc.nic.in

Step 2: Select “Super Speciality” from the menu on the homepage.

Step 3: Navigate to the counselling registration link.

Step 4: Login and fill out the form.

Step 5: Download and print the acknowledgement page for future reference.

The NEET SS 2023 took place on September 29 and 30. The exam featured a total of 150 questions. According to the marking system, four marks are awarded for each correct answer while one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. The results were announced on October 15. Students were tested in as many as 13 disciplines in the NEET SS 2023 which included medical, pharmacology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, pathology, anaesthesiology, radiodiagnosis, microbiology, psychiatry, surgery, paediatrics, respiratory medicine and orthopaedics.

Around 156 public and private medical schools, as well as Armed Forces Medical Service (AFMS) institutions, use the NEET SS for admission to 2,447 seats in Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Masters of Surgery (MCh) programmes.
