National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) has announced 74 vacancies for the position of Scientist ‘B’. The application process is set to kick off on December 21 while the last date for submitting applications is January 19, 2024. To apply for these positions, interested candidates can access the online application portal through the official website at recruit-ndl.nielit.gov.in.

According to the official notification, Stage I (Written Examination) is tentatively scheduled for February 2024. However, the exact dates of the written examination will be communicated to candidates through their registered email IDs. Notably, no other forms or methods of application will be considered. Candidates must provide a valid email ID and an active mobile number during the online application/registration process.

Eligible registered candidates will be shortlisted based on valid GATE scores in descending order in each category of the respective subject/field. The assessment will be conducted in two stages — Written Examination (CBT-based) comprising Objective/Multiple Choice Questions, and Interview Round.

NTRO Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Age limit: Applicants should note that the maximum age for candidates applying for the Scientist ‘B’ positions is capped at 30 years.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a First-class Master’s degree in Science in Electronics/ Electronics & Computer Science/ Applied Electronics/ Radio Physics & Electronics or Mathematics from a recognised university or institute.

Alternatively, a First-class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Electronics Communication & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Power/ Telecommunication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Information & Communication/ Communication Optics & Optoelectronics, or any other relevant field from a recognised university or institute is also accepted. Additionally, candidates should possess knowledge of Computer Applications.

For those applying, an application fee of Rs 250 is applicable. It is important to note that the application fee applies to all candidates, except for those falling under the SC/ST and female categories.

The Scientist ‘B’ position has been categorised under the General Central Civil Service, falling within Group ‘A’ (Gazetted, Non-Ministerial), with a pay scale set at level-10 of the VII CPC pay matrix, ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.
