Security agencies probing the security breach at the Parliament on Wednesday are looking at the digital history of the four arrested accused to see if they were associated with any ideological group or if they were genuinely upset with the government, sources said. The incidents came on a day when the country is observing the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack.

The homes of the accused are being searched and their digital history is being scanned to see if they were associated with farmers’ protests, the Khalistani movement or terror groups like the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Agencies are probing what motivated them to act and that too in Parliament, sources told CNNNews18.

Agencies are also probing to find out how many times the accused have done recce of the Parliament complez or if the intrusion was all spontaneous, they added.

The Parliament security breach on Wednesday was well-coordinated, meticulously planned and carried out by six accused, five of whom have been nabbed, police sources said.

Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D who were held inside the Lok Sabha chamber, and Amol Shinde and Neelam — caught outside Parliament — are in police custody. Lalit and Vishal are suspected to be their accomplices. While Vishal has been detained from Gurugram, Delhi Police teams have been sent to various locations to nab Lalit, sources said.

Earlier, sources told CNNNews18 that this was not a terror attack and the accused intruded the complex because they were upset due to price rise and unemployment.

However, this is very serious breach and on the day when first attack happened, top government sources said.

“Responsibility will be fixed on concerened officials. It is being looked how these people managed passes without proper checking. All concern ATS and special investigation branches (SIB) of states are working and few raids will also follow this,” they said.

Their financials also under scanner to see if they have received any funding knowingly or unknowingly, or any promise was made on behalf of someone, they added.
