Virat Kohli is such a personality, even when he was rested for the dead-rubber Asia Cup 2023 clash between India and Bangladesh, Virat was seen hogging the limelight when he was seen carrying the drinks for his teammates. With India already through to the Asia Cup final on 17 September against Sri Lanka, the Indian management decided to rest key players such as Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah.
Rohit won the toss and elected to bowl first, and revealed that five changes were made to the team that hammered Pakistan by 228 runs earlier in the tournament.
Kohli then was seen carrying drinks on the field during a break, however, the enigmatic character that he is, he came on the field making funny gestures that would melt the hearts of any Indian fan.

A video of the incident subsequently went viral on social.

It wasn’t the first time Kohli was seen carrying drinks as he was rested during the two ODIs against West Indies earlier this year on the Caribbean tour. The 34-year-old had carried drinks for his teammates in the second ODI as well.
India dominated Bangladesh in the final Super 4 game from the get-go as the Bangla Tigers were reduced to 59/4. India’s much-changed bowling attack picked up three wickets in the batting powerplay showing their prowess.
Bangladesh had already been eliminated from the Asia Cup Super 4 stage when India beat Sri Lanka on September 12.

Shakib Al Hasan also made five changes to his side with young Tanzid Hasan replacing Mohammad Naim, however, the new-look opening order with Litton Das failed to leave an impact as the latter was dismissed by Mohammed Shami on a two-ball duck.
Tanzid was then castled by Shardul Thakur who picked up his second wicket by removing Anamul Haque with a short ball as KL Rahul took a great catch.
Axar Patel then got rid of Mehidy Hasan Miraz who was sent down the order but the experiment failed as Rohit Sharma completed a sharp catch at first slip completing 200 catches in international cricket to put Bangladesh on the mat.
