The parties at the meet will include the JDU, the SP, the AIADMK, the JDS, the BJD and the Left.
New Delhi: All eyes will be on the capital today where a meeting will be held between 11 major non-BJP, non-Congress parties. Experts say an announcement can be expected on the formation of a third front after the meeting.
Sources say the parties - including the Janata Dal United, the Samajwadi Party, the AIADMK, the Janata Dal Secular, the Biju Janata Dal and the Left - will come up with a common charter that will provide a firm alternative to the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress has ruled out joining the front. Lalu Prasad's RJD has called it a failure. "In the third front, everyone wants to be the PM. I cannot be a part of it," Lalu said.
