New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday submitted Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh's medical report to the Tees Hazari Court in Delhi. Singh was arrested for his role in the 2008 cash-for-votes scam and has been in AIIMS since Monday, following health complications.

Tihar jail authorities are also expected to file their medical report on Wednesday. They were asked by a Delhi court to explain by Wednesday as to what "necessitated" shifting Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh to AIIMS.

The court was scheduled to pronounce its verdict on Singh's interim bail plea on Wednesday but it deferred the same and listed the matter for further hearing on September 15.

The court also asked the AIIMS Director to apprise it of the medical condition of former Samajwadi Party General Secretary from the time of his hospitalization there.
