Ashok Bhatt also said owing to internal rifts, Congress had not yet formed a full government in the hill state even 12 days.
Omkareshwar: BJP MLA Ashok Bhatt on Saturday said his party could field a candidate for the post of Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker in the election scheduled for March 26.
Bhatt and other BJP MLAs from the northern state are currently on a tour of Madhya Pradesh.
Bhatt also said owing to internal rifts, Congress had not yet formed a full government in the hill state even 12 days after the swearing-in of Vijay Bahuguna as the Chief Minister.
Out of the 32 Congress MLAs, 11 had not taken oath so far, he said.
Bhatt also claimed that Congress would fail to prove the majority on the floor of the house in Uttarakhand, and eventually BJP would come to power with the help of independents.
