Singh was on his way from Technopark to Thiruvananthapuram airport when the protestors tried to move near his vehicle
Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP Yuva Morcha activists tried to wave black flag at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at Chackai in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.
The PM was on his way from Technopark in the capital city to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, when the workers tried to move towards the PM's vehicle raising slogans against price rise of LPG, diesel and petrol. The police have arrested five Yuva Morcha activists.
ADGP South Zone, A Hemachandran said that there was no security lapse, the police were vigilant and the protestors could not come near the vehicle or obstruct it.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday evening for a three-day visit.
