New Delhi: The Congress is playing very safe this time in the Delhi Assembly election and will only sound the poll bugle after declaring the full list of 70 candidates.

The last list of 21 candidates is expected to be out by Thursday night or by Friday, said Congress media in-charge Chattar Singh.

Like the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress will too hold a mega rally which will be attended by either Congress President Sonia Gandhi or party Vice President Rahul Gandhi, some party MPs, All India Congress Conmittee members and Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee members.

The party has already started door-to-door campaigning in constituencies where the candidates have been finalised. "The party will also have nukkad nataks and have saaz band for campaigning," said Singh.

On the question of issues that will be raised by the party, he said " It would be 15 years of development under Congress regime and a year of loss."

The party has declared the name of 49 candidates so far. "The candidates have been chosen on the winnability factor and feedback from workers," he added.

The Congress has done away with party Vice President Rahul Gandhi's concept of primaries and choosen candidates on the feedback of ground level workers.
