Delhi elections: Financial, criminal backgrounds of newly elected MLAs
The BJP has 17 out of 31 (55 per cent), AAP has 3 out of 28 MLAs (11 pc) who have declared criminal cases.

New Delhi: The BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the Delhi Assembly elections, but has fallen short of majority with the Aam Aadmi Party winning 28 seats. While the government is yet to be formed, the Association for democratic Reforms has released a report of the criminal and financial backgrounds of the newly elected MLAs.

There are 15 re-elected MLAs who have declared criminal cases in 2013. Out of these 15 re-elected MLAs, 10 had declared criminal cases in the last assembly elections too. The BJP has 17 out of 31 (55 per cent), AAP has 3 out of 28 (11 per cent) and INC has 2 out of 8 (25 per cent) MLAs who have declared criminal cases.

Meanwhile, introduced for the first time, the None of The Above (NOTA) option received 49,892 votes in Delhi. Following is the full text of the report:
